This was answered before the Amberguard question. To explain it further: enter a Slave Guild, go to Custom Requests. Select a request. Return to mansion. Look at repeatable quest tab. The Custom Request will show up there until you finish that request.

As of version 0.5.8, you can encounter groups of wolves in the Elven Grove that are sometimes attacking people, just like thugs attacking bystanders near Wimborn. Saving these people from the wolves will boost your rep.
